GOLD STAR YOUTH OUTDOORS

Empowering Resilience: Healing, Mentorship, and Connection Through Nature

At Gold Star Youth Outdoors, healing comes from the bonds built in the company of others and the strength found in nature, providing families of fallen heroes a profound sense of belonging.

Through adventures like hunting, hiking, fishing, and camping, we restore peace, inspire resilience, and teach essential life skills, offering a place for healing, hope, and growth for the next generation.

Mission Statement:

Gold Star Youth Outdoors is dedicated to providing enriching outdoor experiences for the children of our nation's fallen heroes. Through the generosity of our sponsors and donors, we offer a range of outdoor activities that foster connection and healing. Our team, comprised of active duty and veteran service members, collaborates closely with Survivor Outreach Services from all branches of the military to create memorable adventures for these families. We are committed to ensuring that the legacies of our fallen heroes live on, allowing their families to remain integral members of the Army, Air Force, Navy, and Marine communities.

Additionally, we aim to support veterans by engaging them as volunteers and mentors, enabling them to witness the positive impact of their involvement while honoring the legacies of those they served with.

Vision:

Our vision outlines our goals for the next 2, 5, and 15 years:
  • Two-Year Goal: Establish strong partnerships with organizations, sponsors, and donors to facilitate diverse outdoor experiences for children, including fishing, hunting, backpacking, skiing, and surfing. Our aim is to help families create lifelong memories through these shared adventures.
  • Five-Year Goal: Expand our reach by forming chapters across the country, enabling us to serve a greater number of families and veterans.
  • Fifteen-Year Goal: Acquire land with lodging facilities to host outings for families, creating a dedicated space for connection, healing, and adventure.

At Gold Star Youth Outdoors, we are able to continue our mission of healing and connection thanks to the generosity of those who support our vision.
